Gross-Out: Man Finds Dead Animals In Chinatown, Makes Art

Performance artist Nate Hill has long been a favorite of Animal New York, whom, we're humbled to admit, we hadn't heard of until today. And maybe that's a good thing. Hill is known for his now defunct Chinatown Garbage Taxidermy Tour, where he and a crew roamed around Chinatown scrounging in restaurants trash-cans for animal waste (aka discarded, dead animals). The refuse was then turned into sculptures that aren't exactly appetizing. In case you missed him, it seems that Hill is back at it again, dumpster-diving for everything from fish heads to frogs for the twisted taxidermy. If you're really trying to lose weight, looking at some of his new canvases might be the best way to do it. Click through to see a mini-slideshow of his new work. As Nate himself asks, "Did you know you could make art out of dead animals?"
