Wendy Williams Says People Who Hate On Plastic Surgery Are “Jealous”

Uh-oh, Wendy. We think you're going to start an all-out riot with comments like that. The gals at xoJane.com gave the notoriously outspoken talk show host one of their famous makeunders, and Wendy didn't disappoint, looking pretty darn gorgeous and talking candidly about everything from plastic surgery to pointy nipples.
While there were plenty of juicy sound bites from the interview, it was Wendy's remark about cosmetic enhancements that really made us stop in our tracks. When asked about why she thinks people criticize her so much for getting plastic surgery, Wendy responded,"They are jealous. Because if I said to that person, 'I got the doctor and I’m going to pay for it. Choose three things you want to do,' believe me, they would get it done. They are very jealous and scared. Scared of what their other friends would say, or to break out of the box and be different. And being black? Ugh, please. My people will not go for any kind of surgery. We are supposed to be natural. Ugh, whatever."

Plastic surgery is a sensitive topic, and, well, Wendy may have stirred up a firestorm with those remarks. A woman's choice to alter her features with cosmetic enhancements is a very personal one, but we're not sure that being anti-plastic surgery automatically makes you "jealous." Everyone on the planet seems to have strong opinions on the topic, but as far as we're concerned, it comes down to an individual and what makes he or she happy. If you're unhappy enough with your nose that having a doctor shave it down would make you feel more confident, then more power to you. It's no one's business but your own. We just don't recommend running around calling dissenters jealous. (xoJane.com)
But you tell us: Are people who criticize plastic surgery "just jealous," or is Wendy way off on this one?
