Kim’s Not The Only One Who Got A Custom Givenchy Couture Wedding Gown

Impatiently waiting for Kim and Kanye's wedding special to air? Well, you still have to wait until Sunday for Part 1 of the storied nuptials on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But, if you want to know what it's like to have Riccardo Tisci design a custom couture gown for your big day, look no further.Vogue Weddings gives us a look into another bride's quest for the perfect dress.
Like Kim, Fabiola Beracasa, a producer and creative consultant, took her wedding-gown dreams to Givenchy's Tisci. And, Vogue followed along to his atelier in Paris for her final dress fitting. In the video, Beracasa and Tisci discuss the entire design process, from early sketches to even more sketches, to details they eventually scratched. "We had the lace... The lace!" the bride exclaims and Tisci laughs — a couture inside joke we guess you just had to be there for.
If you followed the Kimye nuptials (of course you did), you'll get déjà vu from Beracasa standing in front of Tisci's wall-sized mirror — the same spot Kim posed for the first look at her custom gown on Instagram. Also like the new Mrs. West, Fabiola opted for a jet-set affair: She wed her longtime love Jason Beckman in Dubrovnik, Croatia back in June. (Check out Vogue's September issue for more on their their big day, if you want all the details and a major case of castle envy.)
This is perhaps as close as many of us — who are not a Kardashian — will get to Tisci's atelier, and it's just as glamorous as we'd hope. Watch Beracasa's journey and, of course, see the amazing final design in the video above. (Vogue)
