Yes, indeed, there are men at Refinery29, and if you took a quick look around the the offices, you'd see that the few of us that work alongside all these stylish women actually keep things pretty toned-down and timeless. We let the ladies take care of all the color and flair around here. That's not to say, however, that the R29 bros don't appreciate a high-quality jacket, some fine woolen pants, or a chunky sweater that will be ahead of the trends four seasons down the line. So it's no big surprise that dudes here are eyeing the fall '12 collection by J Crew, Gap, and Ralph Lauren alum Todd Snyder. The new, NYC-based designer (his line debuted in 2011), has already earned rave reviews and plenty of accolades: Synder was named one GQ's "Best New Designers in America," and got some affirmation in the form of a CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear nomination. No wonder, then, that the coats, shirts, sweaters, and— honest-to-goodness — cargo pants reveal a spot-on approach to casuals that will look oh-so-right when paired with the gussied-up editors who surround us at every waking moment.
