When it comes to manicures, short and polished nails dominated fingers everywhere. We loved it when beauty brands started pushing the envelope with glittery polishes that provided tons of texture. We predicted that extreme nail art would be big for '10, and designers like Katie Gallagher and Cushnie et Ochs are proving us right. This Fashion Week, they sent their girls down the runway with some serious nail designs. From metal-encrusted claws to the first long tips that we haven't shied away from, the models sported manicures that could do some serious damage. We're willing to risk looking like a crazy cat woman to get tough nails like these, but first we have to stock up on enough nail polish remover to save us from a potential DIY disaster.
