Are you a Trekkie? It's okay, we understand if you're still in the closet, what with the geek stigma and the memories of those conventions still in the public consciousness. Well, that grimiest of grimy underground style photogs, Mark "the Cobrasnake" Hunter, and a gaggle of artists, DJs, and fashion brands are inviting you to embrace your inner Klingon to celebrate the release of the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie. Seems Hunter has always been a fan of the Trek and Abrams, so the pairing is not as illogical (as Spock would say) as one might think. In Paris, Los Angeles, Berlin, and, yes, our NYC, Hunter and DJs AM, A-Trak, Steve Aoki, and Murs spun spacey tunes for green-painted "alien slave girls" at the shindigs while artists Mr. Brainwash, Robert Rodriguez, Andre, and H5 have produced some colorful model Enterprises for the campaign. Add to that some commemorative T-shirts created by RVCA given away on Hunter's website, and you've got a celestial even more fun than a barrel full of tribbles.
