The Summer Wine Trend You Have To Try (Hint: It’s Not Rosé)

As soon as we catch the first glimpse of summer sun each year, we are ready and waiting with a bottle of rosé, preferably of the bubbly variety. But this summer, a revitalized trend has us craving a different wine. And no, it's not pink or white! Instead of our regular blush bottle, we've been completely obsessed with mini bottles of Lambrusco. Lambrusco is a slightly bubbly red wine, and — wait for it — you can drink it chilled. Which basically translates to, "Yum!" When we had them at an office tasting for the first time, the mini Riunite bottles were served cold with adorable red and white plastic straws — yes, in this case you CAN drink wine with a straw. The small 187 mL bottles come in four-packs, perfect for a picnic or beach day. (A four-pack is the equivalent of a full bottle of wine and each individual bottle is slightly more than your average glass.) Just be careful — especially if you're drinking with a straw — it's easy to slurp down a whole bottle in no time at all. And you might want to grab extras; once you've had one, you're not going to want to share!
