It was a chance conversation with a Vogue colleague that led Edgar Gonzalez to Nicole Villi and Brittany Marom, creators of Designer + Attaché, a new start-up service (and friend of Viyet) connecting busy professionals with affordable design services. Shortly after their chat, Gonzalez jumped on board as a design assistant, bringing his signature blend of classic-yet-quirky style to a diverse range of clients. His proudest achievement, however, might be his West Village home.
Though it only measures 600 square feet, the apartment showcases functionality without sacrificing style. “It’s a great example of how you don’t need thousands of square feet in space or a multimillion-dollar budget to get what I call the three Cs: a home that feels comfortable, cool, and collected,” he says. Gonzalez gave Viyet a peek into his welcoming abode to see how he took this space from cramped to chic.
