Oh My Goth: Peep This Daring & Dark (But Chic!) Collection

There may not have been an official fall '12 fashion week in San Francisco, but that doesn't mean Bay Area designers haven't been hard at work on their most recent collections. And the latest locally grown label unveiling its cool-weather offerings is Sara Shepherd. The Central St. Martins alum, who now teaches fashion design at the Academy of Art, found widely varied inspiration for her sculptural pieces for fall, all shot by Hellin Kay at S.F.'s Bently Reserve. "This season was about the story of Icarus meets the novel 1984," Shepherd tells us of the moody offerings. "It's about the concepts of aspiration and exploration juxtaposed with restriction and oppression." Check out what this boils down to, sartorially, in the lookbook after the jump.
