Turn Your Shower Into A Luxe Spa With This One Bottle

Certain beauty products — think NARS blush in Orgasm, Clinique's Black Honey lipstick — are so good, they're practically famous. And, while we do love so many of those well-known, well-loved products with a loyal following, we've been wondering why others have been quietly flying under the radar. With that in mind, meet our new beauty series, Cult Classics, in which we'll introduce you to the products you really, truly should know about (and try, like, right now). They're not brand new, but trust us: They've got staying power.
You know that feeling after a crazy good massage, when your whole body is oiled up, and you're floating on this totally blissed-out cloud? While the sensation itself rocks, there's the crushing reality that the only way we can feel it is if we've just shelled out the cash for a spa session. That was, of course, until Russie Blanche's Banya De-Stress Bath and Shower Oil rolled across my desk.

Concocted by founder Julia Lemigova, who has roots in the most illustrious spas of Europe, this little bottle contains the key to smoothing out whatever gets us stressed. It's a heady cocktail of essential oils, ranging from lavender to ginger to bergamot. Mix 'em together, and you have the recipe to whatever is ailing you — whether it's a kinked neck or sore muscles.
Like the name suggests, Banya De-Stress can be used in both the bath and shower. I love adding a few drops to my tub for a serious soak, but I've been using it religiously in the shower. Once you're done scrubbing, shampooing, and shaving, turn the bottle out onto your palms and smooth the oil over your limbs. Let it soak in for five minutes or so, and then rinse the residue away. You're left with a body that's ultra hydrated. And, since you've got all those amazing oils in there, the scented steam helps you de-stress while you wait for it to soak in. Talk about a two-for-one.
Using this has basically removed the need for me to slather on extra moisturizer post-shower. It's also turned my regular ho-hum nighttime routine into something I look forward to. I can't wait to get home from work, hop into my shower, and use this oil — especially after a particularly stressful 24-hours. It's also clutch to use post-workout to keep those overworked muscles from tensing up. No need to go to a fancy spa — just pick up this bottle, and you're well on your way to being stress-free. That's something we can all get behind.
Russie Blanche Banya De-Stress Bath And Shower Oil, $95, available at Russie Blanche.
