Watch: Rag & Bone Swaps The NY Minute For A NY Moment

Blame it on countless cinematic representations, or even on the songs that romanticize the city, but plenty of people fall in love with New York even before they've arrived. Even longtime New Yorkers would be hard pressed to avoid the inklings of sentimentality that creep in after a stroll through Rock Center during the holidays or Soho on a rainy afternoon. Channeling those very feelings, photographer Glen Luchford has created two short films for rag & bone, showcasing the juxtaposition of dramatic understatement and modern nostalgia, as well as their new line.
Featuring award-winning actors Léa Seydoux and Michael Pitt, the films portray a "New York Moment." While Seydoux stands in the rain and jumps through puddles, Pitt drives through the streets and smashes a guitar — each actor's undertakings an exploration of the range of emotions evoked by the city that never sleeps. Set to a haunting soundtrack by Sparklehorse, the films have made their debut on NOWNESS, and we're finding them fairly unforgettable.
