Watch: This Video Lookbook From Palm Beach’s Rae Francis Is Kinda Scary

It will take you less than a second to become mesmerized by Rae Francis' video lookbook's moody undertone and graphic city images. But you might want to give it another viewing so you'll catch the gorgeous loose silhouettes of the multi-textured, uniquely shaped pieces making up the designers' fall '12 collection.
Founders Ariel Lilly and Christina Coniglio (the latter is a Palm Beach native) met at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, and after graduation moved to New York City. The besties reconvened to launch their first Rae Francis collection for fall of last year, and since have released solid seasonal collections consistent with a bold, uptown-meets-downtown flavor. The just-released range came with this alluring video showcasing the collection’s fit and movement, complimented by a mysterious atmosphere, gray industrial graphics, and a killer song to add drama. While our minds are set on the sunny sanctions of all that is spring break, the video served as a nice respite from the neon epidemic brought on by spring.

The Rae Francis selections are still available at the Wanderers Pop-Up shop in Palm Beach. The designers collaborated with Matthew Chevallard of Del Toro Shoes, a fellow Palm Beacher, to create a pop-up that would not only showcase the designers’ personal collections, but also allow them to support other various local designers in the Palm Beach community. Head on over while the temporary space still holds some luxe silk cut-out tops or fitted-but-flowy maxi skirts — or any other of the dramatic pieces that Rae Francis are just beginning to make as their signature. Downtown vibes with Miami silhouettes simply cannot be beat.
