Full confession: I don't make it out to Brooklyn much (though a cabbie did decide to take me there instead of home this past Tuesday night, but that's another story). But when PAPER mag and Roxy threw a summer block party to screen a new surf film Dear and Yonder at the Secret Project Robot Art Space in Williamsburg last night, of course I had to go check it out. And let's just say...the sheer multitude of PAPER staff and fun-loving kids out and about in their printed summer brights just made me yearn to seek out a good Brooklyn rooftop party this weekend...you know, the kind with cold beer and barbeque (it doesn't take much to please me).
