NYC Thinks It Can Predict All The Oscar Winners (We Agree)

The latest fight in the war of the coasts brings us the battle of the film buffs, just in time for the Oscars. And it's no surprise that in a Google study of the most searched movie names, New Yorkers seek talent ( Gary Oldman and Jean DuJardin) over hot shots (George Clooney and Brad Pitt). That is, it's not surprising that New Yorkers are, ehem, correct. Obviously, we have 29% more interest in Woody Allen (gotta support a homeboy classic), but we also know what's up when it comes to picking winners. New Yorkers agree with the top nationwide search candidates for both Best Actress (Googling Melissa McCarthy most) and Best Picture, though New Yorkers also looked for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. While we're ready to see the winners come Sunday and put this he-guessed, she-guessed business to rest, we're also pretty positive we know what the outcomes will be. What? We're confident, not cocky!
