You'll Never Believe Nick Wooster's Biggest Fashion Regret

Nick Wooster, Consultant
We're not sure how Nick Wooster does it, but, somehow, he can pull off the most dapper of dapper outfits and not look like tragic mess. His background at Thom Browne, Gilt Groupe, and JCPenney probably have something to do with it. But, still, how does he make a polka-dot blazer, white trousers, and color-blocked lace-ups look so good?
Wooster isn't afraid to take sartorial risks on up-and-coming designers like Archibald Optics, RTH, and O’Keeffe, but that doesn't mean he'll stop wearing the tweed Perry Ellis coat he bought in the early '80s for $750 anytime soon.
Keep reading to learn more about Wooster, and see what shocking item the style maven regrets selling.
My style in six words or less:
"Ten pounds of shit in a five-pound bag. (Okay, that was nine.)"
The greatest style lesson I've ever learned:
"Peter Rizzo taught me everything I know about good taste and great quality."
My boldest summer style move that I wouldn't attempt any other time of the year:
"Since I believe strongly in dressing for weather, I would have to say shorts."
The dressing difficulties I've had to overcome:
"Height and weight."
My three favorite places to shop:
"Dover Street Market (London and Tokyo), Anatomica (Tokyo and Paris), United Arrows (Tokyo)."
I could never, ever part with:
"I still regret selling my mom’s sorority sweatshirt."
My definitive summer go-to outfit:
"Shorts with everything."
