Japanese Women Burning Bras To Create Fuel, Avoid Perverts

How resourceful! Japanese underwear line, Triumph International, is providing local women with a surprising way to dispose of old bras. Triumph International will turn donated lace and underwire into RPF (Refuse Paper and Plastic Fuel), a form of energy that costs a quarter of what coal does, and produces way less carbon dioxide. Green mindedness isn't the only motivator—according to recent polls, 61% of Japanese women feel weird about throwing their bras away, since many of their districts require clear plastic bags, which apparently draws the attention of perverts (seriously). We knew that a good, trusty bra could light a few fires… but just didn't know to take the saying so literally. (Ecouterre)
