Is It Just Us Or Does This Tiffany's Pendant Look Like Birth Control?

Maybe it's just us, but Paloma Picasso's latest piece for Tiffany & Co. bears a resemblance to something we're more than a little familiar with: those circular plastic packs that house The Pill. The ads for her contraceptive clone claim the inspiration was the "magic and romance" of Venice, but the offspring of the guy who gave the world Guernica might have been pulling references from something a little closer to home. Some speedy research revealed that Ms. P regularly draws upon the design and architecture of the world's biggest tourist destinations for her wares. Perhaps next she'll look stateside, and the necks of sorority girls across the country will be glittering with a pendant reminiscent of an IUD... Excuse us, Seattle's Space Needle.
