An Eco Fashion Fan’s Sustainably Sexy Going-Out Look

great
With fewer brands and pieces to choose from, putting together a sustainable, ecologically responsible outfit that can still catch eyes is a true challenge — but FASHIONmeGREEN blogger Greta Eagan is more than up to it. Here, she treats us to a little tutorial on how to whip up an easy, alluring evening look that, when paired with a environmentally friendly dress, will have everyone green with envy.
Greta Eagan of FASHIONmeGREEN
"I recently wrapped up my Fashion Week tour with a five-day stay in Aspen, Colorado for Aspen Fashion Week. Hosting runway shows at the Snow Stage and after-party presentations at the St. Regis, Aspen proved itself a very fashionable place to be and required a glamourous wardrobe! My ultimate going-out outfit is a mix of soft feminine lines with a bit of an urban edge. For a fabulous after-party at the Chateau during AFW, I wore a sweeping, printed silk dress from David Peck's CROP line, and paired the almost-ethereal gown with a cropped faux-leather bomber jacket and open-toed booties. My styling rule of thumb is that less is more, so I pulled my messy ski-hat hair half back with a couple of bobby pins, added a few fake eyelashes for drama, and popped on a pair of stud earrings. When you have a show-stopping dress on like I did (thank you, David!), keep everything else more casual and you'll come out with the perfect mix every time."
