Gen Art Wants You to Make It Work

We all love Bravo for creating the fantasy that gifted amateurs can become overnight sensations. But get real. The network that invented Project Runway didn't patent the wheel. Before Christian Siriano uttered the word fierce, there was Gen Art, which has been scouting and showcasing emerging fashion talent of the real variety. What, did you think Kate and Laura Mulleavy earned their CFDA nom by prancing around the small screen? Well, for those of you want to earn your stripes the good ol' fashioned way, Gen Art is currently accepting applications (until March 24th) for their annual international design competition. If selected, you'll be able to present your designs at a New York fashion event, win a $5000 award for Design Excellence, and, of course, earn plenty of bravos. Real ones, that is. So get going.
