Feal Mor Gets A Facelift, Thanks To This Hunky Brit Street Artist

fealmor_body
For the record, L.A. has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to street art. While other cities were debating the artistic merits of graffiti, MOCA was putting together an entire exhibition on it.
And though British artist Charlie Anderson’s work can channel irreverent street-art qualities without actually being plastered on buildings, this time the creator (and major babe) is getting his hands dirty on a decidedly street-side platform. The masters of understated cool at Feal Mor are getting a high-wattage makeover courtesy of Charlie: He’s spray-painting the front window of their La Brea retail space, and everybody’s invited to watch the art experience unfold.

The tagging starts this Tuesday afternoon, with an in-store event, pre- and post-live art installation. Charlie's opening his first show in the U.S. this Saturday at the Fabien Castanier Gallery, but here’s your chance to watch the super cute artist in action – hey, anything to support the arts, right?
When: Tuesday, April 3, live spray-painting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; in-store event from 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Feal Mor, 163 South La Brea Avenue (between West 1st and West 2nd streets), 323-939-6600.
