Elle China Rips Off Refinery29's It-Girl Infographic

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, consider us brimming with hubris. One of our editors was on a brief vacay this past week in China and nearly choked on a dumpling when she came across this uncanny reproduction of our It-Girl Infographic in Elle China. The copy is nearly word for word (though they did swap out Douglas from COACD for Paris Hilton and her monkey friend—sorry, dude!), as is the point system, format, and even the style of those little headshot cutouts. Overseas magazines like Elle, Vogue, and Cosmo usually rely heavily on syndicated content from their parent issues, but last time we checked, we weren't really lending out our stuff willy-nilly. Click through for a peek at this blatant doppelganger. Mandarin readers, comment for confirmation, too!
