Let's preface this by saying we really, really do love dogs! But attention puppy-owner subway riders: Yes, your dog is cute, but he's not that cute. That is, he's not cute enough for this Gothamist contributor to stand idly by as a pooch gets the seat. It's a matter of etiquette, and we understand. Only if your dog has woken up for a breakfast meeting uptown, rushed back down for a press preview, written and edited an entire day's worth of articles, gone to power yoga, and finished off the day with a business dinner (in heels, mind you!) can s/he get comfy in the seat instead of on your lap on your lap.
