Rooftop beauty treatments are popping up all over the place this month. And why not? The weather is pretty spectacular right about now. Hmm, but what are they going to do when summer rolls around? Let’s not think about that now.... Instead, let’s focus on a new Indian-inspired facial now available at the Delano’s spa, Agua.
Dubbed KeSARI’s Saffron Glow Facial, the 60-minute treat — which just debuted this month — starts with an Indian spice foot soak, followed by a facial cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, massage, mask, moisturizing, and UV protection. Yeah, that’s a lot in the space of one short hour. And in addition to all the manual labor involved, what really makes this treatment so special is the main ingredient: saffron. This magical cure-all (it's known around the world as everything from an antidepressant to an antioxidant) is pretty pricey. To wit: it takes 75,000 blossoms of saffron crocus to make a single pound of this puppy.
So naturally, the facial itself is a bit of a splurge at $170, but you can use the hotel’s facilities (beach, pool), and leave with a flawless glow. Which, to some, is priceless.
