How Did We Not Know About This German Label?

In our heads we like to think that looking as luxe as possible is best, but in reality there's only so long we can stand sequins and heels before we want to rip them off in favor of something cozy and worn-in. While being comfortable and chic is sometimes as elusive as the Sumatran rhino, a friend tipped us off to Hamburg-based Closed's spring '12 lookbook, which reminds us (yet again) that simple is always best for this magic combo. Umm, why didn't we know about this line earlier? Plain jeans and cotton pants (in every cut you could want) pair beautifully with button-down shirts in light neutral colors, as well as some gorgeous navy polka dot pieces that need to find their way to our closets, STAT. We also love that besides all the earth tones, the collection includes several bright pink and red pieces, and T-shirts with delicate detailing like scallops and bows that make for some serious mixing and matching—not to mention they give the otherwise tomboyish pieces the perfect feminine touch. The week is winding down, so we know you're ready to ditch those work clothes for something cool and casual—click on through for all the simple, comfortable style inspiration you need. Case Closed.
