Cold Comfort Farm: A Flurry of Alpine-Inspired Knits

There's been talk of irony being out of fashion—and we say, along with it goes those novelty holiday sweaters. Yes, it's out with the reindeer, bells, bows, and other fixins' and time to usher in something equally traditional, but a tad more chic—the Alpine knit. Men, women, and children love these cozy, snowflake-patterned pieces, and we've been seeing various forms all over the streets and in our favorite shops, too. The Sartorialist captured a man in such a cardigan sweater looking quite classy, but there's still room for new fun with the look. The Facehunter snapped a young lass in a TSE jumpsuit made of the wintery-pattern, Gala Gonzalez rocked a sweater with fun retro color pops, and shoe addict Jane Aldridge tried out a pair of tights with an appealing Alpine flair. With options snowballing, we say there's plenty of choices to pick your perfect knit.
