A decidedly downtown crowd packed both levels of the Victorian and Raja-inspired bar at the Jane Hotel last night for a party sponsored by clothing and record label April77 Records. Super-lady Kate Lanphear in classically epicene garb, a dressed-down Steven Alan, photographer Pete Miszuk, Lucky's Jen Ford, and a dapper Steven Rojas all mingled with other bright young things under crystal, candle-lit chandeliers and a stuffed bighorn sheep. Revelers chose Heinekens over the more hydrating Vita Coco, though a 42Below vodka and coconut water concoction mixed by bartenders was a favorite. April77's Brice Partouche spun low-key tracks while guests crashed on the ballroom's velvet couches. Apache Beat's Iliyana Alushaj took over as the crowd packed the downstairs space and DJ Justin Miller of D.F.A. finally got the kids dancing—after the open bar had run out, of course.
