There are some beauty rules we write off no problem (who says French manis are passé?), but then there are those rules that when broken, make us cringe (sorry, French pedi). The jury was still out for us on where the smoky eye/bold lip combo fell on the beauty-acceptability spectrum — after all, there's a fine line between dramatic and fussy.
