Backstage With Au Revoir Simone — 5 Minutes 'Til Showtime

We love seeing our favorite bands live, but what's it really like before they step up to the mic? Do artists get the jitters? What's playing backstage? Are shots involved? Myspace set out to answer those questions with its Five Minutes to the Stage series where people like Courtney Love, Diplo, Chance the Rapper, and more unveil their hidden green-room rituals. This time around, the cameras are trained on the women of Brooklyn dream-pop band Au Revoir Simone, as they prepare for their October 22 show in L.A.'s Echo Park neighborhood. Watch below as Erika Forster, Annie Hart, and Heather D'Angelo get themselves psyched, shake out their bangs, run through some silly warm-ups, and sing some Drake before blowing the roof off the Echoplex. As it turns out, the R29 fave, which is currently touring behind its excellent new record Move in Spectrums, remains as cool and collected as its pillowy pop would suggest.
