Stationed in Milan, photographer Tamu McPherson of All The Pretty Birds is our eagle-eyed street style chronicler across the sea. We asked her to send us a dispatch from the Fashion Week festivities taking place on her home turf, and as expected, there's enough belle donne in there to rival Manhattan during NYFW. Click through for front-row pics, street style images, and other camera-worthy snaps.

Above: "For me fashion week doesn't start until I spot Anna. She brings so much passion to the show circuit. Known to execute several outfit changes per day, these are her two looks for day one."
Above: "This season I was invited by Versace to cover the Versace show and Versus presentation. Here are some images from the Versace rehearsal."
Above: "Covering back stage at Versace was definitely the highlight of fashion week. It makes a huge difference when you are able to see the garments up close. I was surprised to see how well everyone involved handled the pressure. Donatella was calm and gracious. It was really lovely to witness the look of satisfaction on her face at the end of the show. The collection is sleek and detail rich, I couldn't take my eyes of the cut outs, hardware and fringes."

Above, from left: "Pleasant surprise. The first person that I meet when I arrive outside the DSquared2 show is incredibly sweet and stylish Kate Lanphear." "Natalia Alaverdian outside Dolce & Gabbana."
Above: "A look from the Number 21 by Alessandro dell'Acqua show. The collection focused on clean lines with an emphasis on mix and match pieces for daywear. Spotted at the show: Leigh Lezark and Viviana Volpicella."
Above, from left: "Julie Pailhas and Carolyn Christiansson of French Glamour make a rock star entrance at Bluegirl." "Things got hot when Anya Ziorova of Russian Tatler arrived at Just Cavalli in this showstopper fur vest."
Above: "Albino D'Amato is one of my favorite emerging Italian designers. So it goes to say that I could not miss his show. This season's collection was a play on silhouette that alternated between trapezoidal and pencil slim shapes. The fabrics ranged from textiles customarily used for outwear to crêpe jacquards, and the prints are inspired from stained glass windows. There were definitely a couple pieces that I almost snatched off the models."
Above, from left: "Anya Ziorova's Celine fatigue jacket is so enviable! I need one in my life. I'm obsessed." "Don't get to close to Carine Bizet's Ashish for Topshop pants, or you might get hurt."

Above: "Versus by Christopher Kane presentation. I love this collection. Christopher Kane does an amazing job introducing the aesthetics of his personal design style into Versus."
