A mini ballroom, complete with cold beers, a rolling Karen Elson-Sarah/Sophie Flicker/Julia Restoin-Roitfeld video installation, not to mention deafening music courtesy of Lissy Trullie was the setting for designer Melissa Coker's spring/summer collection for Wren. Looking pretty in a frayed black mini-skirt, Wren blouse, and vintage Ferragamos, the designer was the image of calm and cool as she unveiled her sweet lineup of springtime treats to a fun-loving crowd. The models all perched along one wall sported a tight range of easy, go-to pieces, from perfectly proportioned cropped trousers to an assortment of brightly hued blouses that were as flattering as they were timeless. All looks were paired with variously hued Repettos. Though there were no surprises or departures in the fairly small collection, Coker still delivers the kind of fashion we could easily wear everyday.
