David Fincher's Mindhunter is like a belligerent party guest — it settles down on your couch, whiskey in hand – and refuses to leave until you've fully reckoned with it. That is to say, it's been over a week since Netflix dropped all ten episodes, and we're still thinking about it. There are a lot of questions that are still unanswered.
Sadly, the show itself won't return for another year. (Although we do have some scoop on season 2.) What to do in the meantime? As a stop-gap measure, you can always follow the respective paths of agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and just do research. The serial killers featured in the show are, for the most part, very real serial killers. You can watch the full interviews with Ed Kemper (Cameron Britton) on YouTube. You can also listen to podcast episodes that delve into the details of the murders, the investigation, and the subsequent fascinations with these killers.
