Chipotle Is Officially Making College Students’ Dreams Come True

When Chipotle announced its delivery plans earlier this year, we were ecstatic. Yes, sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) we are lazy and just want a giant burrito brought straight to our front door, no questions asked. And the nation's favorite burrito chain just announced delivery news that is going to make college students in particular very happy. Chipotle is launching a new partnership with food service Tapingo; this initiative will focus exclusively on delivering to college students. So instead of relying on cafeteria food and late-night pizza, students will be able to chow down on a something different (and, dare we say, healthier than pizza?) during their next cram session. “Chipotle has been popular with students going back to our very first restaurant near the University of Denver, and we are always looking for ways to better engage with them,” explained Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer at Chipotle, in a press release. Chipotle delivery is currently available for six college campuses, including Louisiana State University, University of Southern California, California State University Chico, Northern Arizona University, and Arizona State University. In the fall, delivery will expand to 40 campuses; it will be offered at 100 colleges by 2016. See here for the full list of schools.
