Chipotle Now Delivers — But, It’ll Cost You

If a .50 cent hike in beef Chipotle menu items didn't scare you, how about adding $20 to your burrito order? Okay,
yikes, that is scary! But, what if I told you that the burrito was going to be delivered to
your door?

That's the dilemma we'll all soon face, because Chipotle has announced that it plans to start "online and mobile orders using the Postmates App" in 67 cities, according to
Nation's Restaurant News. Postmates is a delivery app that uses a similar model to
Uber, but for food instead of rides. Why the extra cost? Well,
according to Re/code, an $8.27 order becomes $20.26 when factoring in the delivery fee and a 9% service fee.

Hmmm, that seems like an expensive burrito to me. Maybe I will just use the new Chipotle Indicator app (dropping tomorrow), to find out where the nearest restaurant is. Then again, maybe the extra cash is worth it to enjoy our fave Chipotle treats in our PJs at home. Yeah, I foresee this being a very expensive habit during the cold, winter months.
