It's official: Julianne Hough is getting hitched. The Dancing With the Stars judge shared on social media that she and her beau, NHL center Brooks Laich, are engaged.
"We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiancé #love," Hough captioned the Instagram pic, which features the couple all wrapped up in a hug. The triple-threat performer appears to be staring excitedly at her new ring. We definitely can't wait for a closer pic of the bauble — something tells us it's going to be gorgeous.
The newly affianced pair were introduced by a mutual friend who worked with Hough on Curve, and they began dating in the winter of 2014. "It couldn't have been a better time," the soon-to-be-newlywed shared in Redbook last August. "We've been open and honest since Day One," she added — and going strong ever since.
Before hitting it off with Laich, Hough had a very public relationship with Ryan Seacrest, which ended in 2013. Of her past romances, Hough told Redbook: "Every relationship, there was nothing wrong or bad, but there was nothing right. I had one foot out because I didn’t want to get hurt. And I didn't say what was on my mind because I didn’t want to ruffle any feathers. I needed to be perfect."
From the looks of things, she's finally found her match in Laich. Congratulations to the future bride and groom!
