Serena Williams Sells Her Massive Midtown Pad

Tennis star and all-around female superhero Serena Williams has just sold the 1,800-square-foot midtown Manhattan loft she shares with her sister, Venus. And the lucky new owner is none other than a sports maven in his own right: Ted Wells, an athletics attorney hired by the NFL (and who's currently handling the division's major #deflategate debacle), purchased the home for $2.1 million.

The sisters bought the original space in 2005, spending the years since seriously renovating and expanding its interior. The spacious apartment now boasts oak floors, high ceilings, and windows that flood the space with light.

With great views, pre-war detailing, and walk-in closets, this pad has everything, and it's hard to imagine why this sister duo would ever leave. Our guess is that these roomies most likely needed more than one bathroom — as we imagine mornings and post-practice schedules might get a little hectic with just one shower.

The only question we have? What in the world will their next abode look like? We hope there will be more wall space to hang their countless medals? Or, even better, an apartment with an indoor tennis court (if that even exists in NYC).
