9 Kelly Clarkson Covers That Are Better Than The Real Thing

Kelly Clarkson has been doing covers in her set since her 2012 tour. It's a little something she does based on fan requests to make the shows feel special. But what it actually proves is that Kelly Clarkson is a Queen who can sing other people's songs better than they can. It was really was almost impossible to pick only 9, since she's covered so many great songs, but here are just a selection of the times Kelly Clarkson absolutely ruled the cover song.
1. Taylor Swift "Blank Space"
It's hard to make a TayTay song better, so Kelly Clarkson goes for different. She turns this one into a jazzy jam that's a little slower but still makes your foot tap.

2. Rihanna "BBHMM"
When Kelly Clarkson takes on this track, it becomes y'all better have my money but she still calls the shot-shot-shots. Don't act like you forgot.
3. Adele "Someone Like You"
Even Kelly is scared to cover Adele, as she admits in this video. Her voice is no joke though and she does an amazing take on the song that makes literally everyone cry.
4. Little Big Town "Girl Crush"
This track caused a big scandal when country radio wouldn't play it this year, but now it's topping the charts. Kelly, of course, wanted to cover it herself because it's that irresistible.
5. Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk"
When Kelly covers the hottest song of 2015, she doesn't just cover it. She mashes it up with her own track, "Walk Away," and makes something so delicious we can't stand it.
6. Imagine Dragons "Radioactive"
Kelly doesn't just do pop songs, she can rock a little too when the mood strikes. She's waking us all up with this beautiful cover that takes the bombast of the original and turns it into a more vulnerable sound.
7. TLC "No Scrubs"
We're going old school on this one and it turns out Kelly Clarkson is just like us: she don't want no scrubs. Make sure you check out the male dancer who adds that extra something special to this performance.
8. Eminem "Lose Yourself"
She raps too! Kelly Clarkson dons a hoodie and does her best Eminem here, slaying the verses on his classic hip hop hit.

9. Mariah Carey "Always Be My Baby"
Don't kid yourself, this song is incredibly hard to sing because Mariah hits some notes the average person cannot nail in karaoke. Kelly, however, takes it all in stride and calls the track a "couple's skate." Impressive!
