The wait is over. After a low-quality version of the Suicide Squad trailer leaked online once it was shown at Warner Bros' Hall H presentation at Comic-Con, director David Ayer (Fury, Training Day) took matters into his own hands and released the official teaser.
"As we used to say in the #Navy, stand by to stand by," he tweeted on July 13. "We're gonna make it right."
"Right" is an understatement, as the highly anticipated film appears as if it will exceed your wildest expectations. The cast is stellar, including: Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller).
However, Jared Leto as The Joker stands out. Leto carries the captivating trailer with two chill-inducing sentences: "Oh, I'm not going to kill you. I'm just gonna hurt you really, really badly." And just like that, we're sold. See for yourself, below.
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
