Miley Cyrus Can Find Someone To F— “In Five Seconds,” But Supporting Other Women Is Hard

Miley Cyrus says some pretty good things regarding gender and sexuality in her recent interview with Time. "You can just be whatever you want to be," she said, while simultaneously being photographed in a shoot for her Happy Hippie Foundation's #InstaPride portrait series. She was the funny and insightful Miley that we all adore. For instance, she seems to indicate that she's afraid of settling down with a man, because when she observed older hetero couples at dinner last Valentine's Day, the men were fat drunks, while the women were still trying to look good and being ignored. "If I end up in a straight relationship, that's fine," she concludes, "but I'm not going to be with f—ing slob guys who are watching porn, making all their girls feel ugly." It's good to have standards, Miley. Not that she's ruling out slobs on aesthetic principles alone, of course, because she wants something deeper. "F---ing is easy. You can find someone to f--- in five seconds," she says. "We want to find someone we can talk to. And be ourselves with. That's fairly slim pickings." She also decided to skip standard awards shows for a while, and instead attend events like the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race. "Beyonce would never be down in the front row cheering on Katy Perry," she says, comparing the pop star world to the enthusiasm she witnessed on Drag Race. Aw, is that really fair to B?
