Turns out staying friendly with your ex can be pretty lucrative. Or, maybe that only works when you're both charming, hilarious, and blessed with good literary agents.
That's the case with adorable exes/besties/celebrity-pair-you-most-want-to-see-get-married Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak. The former couple, who dated during their stint on The Office, are reportedly joining forces to write a book about their relationship. As it happens, they're getting paid a lot of money to do it.
The NY Daily News' Confidenti@l column reports that industry sources say Kaling and Novak will make $7.5 million dollars for the book, which will detail their on-and-off relationship. A division of Random House is said to be publishing the book, which is expected to be officially announced at BookCon on May 30.
That's a big chunk of change for a he said/she said tome. Clearly these two are good together — get back together, please?
