Taylor Swift Just Registered An X-Rated Domain Name

No, Taylor Swift isn't getting Fifty Shades on us. There's actually a legit reason why the pop star snatched up the TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult domain names.  From June 1, the X-rated web addresses will be available for anyone to buy. That means any member of the public (Diplo, Katy Perry, or just some generic creep) could buy and build the site with Taylor Swift's name attached, without her approval. Buying the domains herself allows Swift to control her image and prevent the Internet from cashing in on her name. You'll be getting no raunchy Deep Throat parodies from this girl.  As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Swift was one of countless public figures given the opportunity to make a preemptive purchase before the domains go up for sale. She's surely not the only celebrity who'll be taking action.  We may be bummed about Tay's crackdown on "this sick beat," but this decision makes total sense. This girl's too smart to be played by the porn industry. (THR)
