It seems like Katy Perry and John Mayer might be back together. For real.
First, there were rumors of the former couple having dinner at the Beverly Hills home of a friend. The Daily Mail reported that the evening resulted in a sleepover.
We could shrug that off as tabloid gossip, except that things got more intense on Thursday, when Perry and Mayer took things public, showing up together at the Hollywood restaurant Tower Bar. A diner at the hot spot told Page Six, “Katy Perry and John Mayer walked in together, arm in arm, and the whole room literally fell silent.”
The restaurant was positively teeming with celebrities. Lee Daniels was having dinner with Naomi Campbell. Scarlett Johansson and Reese Witherspoon were there, as was Clint Eastwood.
Perry and Mayer split last February, and the pop star spent most of the year focused on her Prismatic World Tour. But, she's set to play the Super Bowl Halftime show in less than a month. Could this big performance, and her rekindled romance with Mayer mark the beginning of her biggest year yet? (Page Six)
