The Mean Girls Reunion Finally Makes Fetch Happen

We hope you're wearing pink — it is Wednesday, after all. A few months ago, Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey whet our appetites for some magic to come. Now, a Mean Girls reunion has come to fruition, as revealed in Entertainment Weekly, and it is grool, fetch, and insured for $10,000 — just like Regina George's hair. The limit of our elation over this meeting of the Mean Girls minds does not exist.
EW managed to gather the Plastics and Tina Fey together for an epic reunion in honor of the movie's tenth anniversary. The quotes from the interview are nothing short of amazing. We learn gems like the fact that Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert, who played Karen and Gretchen, became instant BFFs. They used to sit in Chabert's trailer and listen to Dido. 2004 really was a magical time.

Fey also shared an entirely perfect story about Lohan's quest to go Method with her character. "I remember 17-year-old Lindsay was on a mission to find pink Uggs. That was like, what she was working on," Fey told EW. Lohan added, "I had a pink pleated skirt in the scene where I fall into the garbage can. I was like, 'I need pink Uggs!' I mean, I was rhinestoning my phone at the time with Swarovski crystals. So it was somewhat Method." Lee Strasberg would be so proud.
In between her searches for rose-colored shearling boots, Lohan also tried to teach Tina Fey and Amy Poehler about her "beef with Hilary Duff." Fey and Poehler couldn't quite follow along with the drama, but they would pretend they could. We want to read those burn book stories so badly.
All of the cast members sound grateful to have been involved with such a now-classic film. McAdams recalls a time when she was staying at a remote bed and breakfast in Ireland and one of the owners' granddaughters asked her to write down her favorite quotes. Chabert's nephew was born on October 3rd, which is now officially recognized as Mean Girls Day. Lohan explained that she and Mariah Carey share a makeup artist, and whenever Carey sees Lohan, she says, "On Wednesdays, I wear pink."

The actresses also had some great ideas about where the Plastics would be today. "Karen would manage or own a store that sells really cool dog attire, like Swarovski dog collars and Halloween costumes for animals," Seyfried said. "Cady’s with Oprah in Africa working at children’s schools with a family, teaching girls to be nice to each other," Lohan postulated.

As for Gretchen Weiners, Chabert thinks she took over the Toaster Strudel empire and married Jason. Regina George is, of course, a Real Housewife. "She's probably found all her other Reginas," McAdams noted. And, they probably still do the "Jingle Bell Rock" dance every year at Regina's holiday party, where no one can sit with her.
