“Anaconda” Is Even Better As Slow-Jam Poetry

I believe it was John Keats who once said, "My anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns, hon." No? 'Twas not him? You must forgive my fallacy. This gentle poetry reading of "Anaconda" has got me thinking not of salad-tossing by a man named Romaine, but of the majesty of nature, accompanied to the dulcet sounds of Satie's Gymnopédie No.1.
The idea of performing pop hits as lyrical poetry isn't new. Nevertheless, it makes us laugh every time. In this video, Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" is read in a gentle lilt as relaxing waves crash to the beach. The visual of water hitting the beach might actually go better with the lyrics than some of the real video's imagery.
Still, as total purists, our anacondas don't want none unless you've got iambic pentameter, hon.
