Lorde Loved Her South Park Song So Much She Sang It Herself

Lorde is having a major moment. Not only did she curate the Mockingjay soundtrack, but she also wrote and recorded the pulsating lead single, "Yellow Flicker Beat."
But, just because the 17-year-old singer and newly minted influential teen has gone Hollywood, don't expect it to go to her head. Recently, Lorde was skewered by the boys of South Park in not one, but two episodes. The parody's centerpiece featured Stan's dad in full Lorde garb singing "I am Lorde Ya Ya Ya," a song that we're guessing won't be showing up on any of the singer's B-sides anytime soon.

However, that didn't prevent Lorde from giving the song her own treatment when she sat down with New Zealand's TV3 News. We already knew that she was pretty cool with South Park's parody after she tweeted "i have officially been the subject of 2 south park episodes and that is weird and cool." But, we had no idea she'd been singing the song for "like an hour." After all, it's not exactly an earworm. On second thought, adding a little of that Pure Heroine trademark production to her version might just give her another hit.
