Larry David Says Being J Lawr’s Crush Is “Very Flattering”

Jennifer Lawrence, you might want to curb your enthusiasm about that Larry David crush. From the sound of it, it's not going to happen.

In case you missed it, Lawrence told Vanity Fair this week that she was "in love" with David and felt it "below the belt." Most guys would have hired a hit man to take out Chris Martin and swept Katniss off her feet, but, true to form, David's reaction has been a bit more subdued.

"Smart kid," he told New Yorker editor David Remnick at this weekend's New Yorker Festival. "It's a shame that I'm about 40 years older than she is.

"Maybe she's referring to her knees," he added in reference to that racy "below the belt" comment. "I don't think I could do it. On one hand it's very flattering and on another hand, it's kind of a shame — in terms of timing. I'd have fun watching the reality show of it though.”
