Although it may seem like Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck (a.k.a. Hollywood's happiest couple) have been together since the beginning of time, that's not actually the case. They've each had their fair share of high profile relationships prior to their marriage (which, by the way, is less than a decade old).
With both stars having a moment thanks to new films that were released within a week of each other (Gone Girl, and Men, Women & Children), the media has their fairytale marriage under the microscope, examining how it all began.
Yesterday, Vulture ran a story called "Here’s Video of the Exact Moment Jennifer Garner Fell in Love With Ben Affleck," in which they dissected a 2005 appearance Affleck and Garner made on Jon Favreau's IFC show, Dinner for Five. Affleck was dating Jennifer Lopez at the time, but he and Garner — who were co-starring in the ill-fated Daredevil when the episode was filmed — had obvious chemistry. According to writer Jesse David Fox, there were three moments in particular in which you can literally see Garner falling for Affleck. After she thanks Affleck for not making her audition for the part, Fox writes that "she gives me him such a genuine look of gratitude and affection, it still makes me a bit uncomfortable to see it on television."
