The Kardashians Make How Much Per Episode?!

While we're not quite reaching Platonic or Nietzschean levels of deep thought here, we have a decidedly 21st century philosophical question on our hands: How much does it cost to be you? And, how much would it cost for you to give up part of your autonomy and let cameras film you for a television show?
Most of us probably don't think about reality TV families like the Kardashians and Duggars in that framework, however, because they seem happy to allow television crews into their lives. Plus, they get paid handsomely for it.
Hollywood Life looked into the findings from TV Guide's annual "Who Makes What" report and revealed that the Kardashians and Jenners make $10 million per season for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. With about 20 episodes per season, that breaks down to roughly $500,000 per episode.
That's a lot of money, but keep in mind that it's distributed to all family members who appear on the show. The main cast includes Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Kris, Bruce, Rob, Kendall, Kylie, Scott Disick, Mason, and Penelope; plus, Brody Jenner and other friends occasionally appear. They also need to pay the team of people they employ to make them camera-ready. Still, we're talking about a nice chunk of change at the end of the day, especially when you factor in the publicity the show provides for Dash and other merchandising opportunities.
The Kardashian salary report also sent us down a reality family earnings wormhole. Keep clicking to see how much some of the other biggest names in the reality game pull in just for being themselves. (StyleList)
