When it comes to pop music, making a sound all your own is no easy feat. Someone out there has probably done what you're trying to do. Or, you just play into the formula you know will work to get air time. That's not Kimbra's story, though. And, her new single, "Miracle," is proof.
Combining soul with disco and her unique wail, "Miracle" is pure audio joy. The other tracks off her latest release, The Golden Echo (out today), like "90s Music" are just as bubbly, but don't get the bones shaking like this one does. Plus, when there's a video as contagiously cheerful as this (directed by Thom Kerr), there's no excuse to not stop whatever you're doing and dance. Hell, take to the streets if you have to. Kimbra did.
