The world can sleep easy now that TMZ has tracked down sources close to the ceremony who say the best-selling-Vogue cover stars will wed at Versailles. How, um, not surprising.
You see, West likes to refer to himself as a king and god-figure of the art, music, and fashion world. Versailles was built for the King Louis XIV, the sun king. Before the revolution ousted the royals from its sensibly-sized palace, Versailles represented the center of the absolute monarchy. Like, duh! So, of course Kanye West and Kim Kardashian would choose Versailles to ceremonially tie the knot (it's been said they lawfully put a ring on it in early May). They are our current pop cultural monarchy.
Let them eat cake and all that. And, keep your fingers-crossed Versailles doesn't forget to bring Kanye his damn croissants. (TMZ)
