America Ferrera’s Dress Makes For A Perfect Hiding Spot

Update: At the time of publishing, America Ferrera hadn't spoken out about the incident. In the days that followed, the actress issued a statement, and more information surfaced about the unidentified man who crawled beneath her dress. Vitalii Sediuk is a Ukrainian journalist with a reputation of harassing celebrities. (He once gave Bradley Cooper's crotch a hug.) Ferrera has since expressed that she felt violated by the experience. "Of all of the things I prepared myself for, that was not one of them," she told Vulture. This was, after all, a violation of privacy, and we should have not treated it so lightly. Sometimes, absurd news breaks and sarcasm fills the blanks of common sense. (ABC)
You know, sometimes a dude's gotta find a place to hide. Whether it's from the cops, a crazed ex, or the paparazzi, a guy's going to find shelter. Sometimes, in the least likely of places — like America Ferrera's tulle gown.
While posing for the cameras on the Cannes carpet of How To Train Your Dragon 2, an unidentified man crawled his way beneath the dress of the unassuming actress. Why? Well, the jury's out on that one. Perhaps there was an actual untrained dragon descending from the French sky and he was desperate for safety?
A tulle Georges Hobieka gown in the middle of a very open, very public red carpet isn't the first thing that comes to mind when debating possible shelter options, but men will do as men do. Unfortunately, off-white tulle doesn't function as a invisibility cloak and the dress intruder was dragged away — by a guy in a viking helmet, no less.
In the long run, his capture probably found him much safer shelter. It also bestowed upon us a beautiful set of pictures featuring neighborhood dress-watch patrolman Kit Harington. (Crushable)
